Practice Manager, Veterinary Technician

Alicia remembers wanting to pursue a career in animal care when she was only in kindergarten. As soon as she was old enough to get a job working with animals, she did exactly that—Alicia has worked in the veterinary industry for her entire professional career!

A native of Shelby, North Carolina, Alicia moved to Greensboro with her family during her junior year of high school. That same year, she secured her first job at a local clinic in town, where she would remain for the next three years. Alicia joined the Friendly Animal Clinic family in November of 2006 and began training to become a Veterinary Technician. Now, she’s also the Practice Manager! Alicia’s favorite parts of her job are the constant learning experience it provides, the opportunity to spend time around puppies and kittens on a daily basis, and working alongside compassionate, caring pet lovers just like herself.

Outside of work, Alicia enjoys traveling, kayaking, hiking, reading, cooking, target shooting, watching professional football, and cheering on the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.

Pam has enjoyed the company of animals for as long as she can remember. When she married a veterinarian—Friendly Animal Clinic’s Dr. Benjamin Jones—she jumped at the chance to work alongside her husband in order to better the lives of the pets and animal owners of the Greensboro area!

Pam grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, where she would later meet Dr. Jones. She is a Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist, and record-keeper here at the clinic, and loves working with her skilled and compassionate coworkers on a daily basis. Most of all, Pam enjoys getting to see clients and their children—both two- and four-legged!—grow and mature over the years.

At home, Pam and her husband live with a beagle named Buzz and a pair of beagle/Chihuahua mixes, Todd and Boone, who were rescued when the Joneses found them during a snowy mountain hike. Todd and Boone are named after the towns that Pam and Dr. Jones were going to visit that day.

In her free time, Pam enjoys quilting, knitting, and visiting the beach and mountains. She’s also a sports fan, and likes watching college basketball and professional tennis matches. Pam even met Roger Federer and had a hat autographed!
